International Exhibition
House of Fashion - Hraničář Gallery
On June 22, 2016 we visited the Hraničář Gallery in Ústí nad Labem with grades 10/3 and 7/3. The exhibition dealt with the topic of Fast Fashion, a phenomenon that impacts the environment and puts pressure on the social situation in the manufacturing countries of the so-called ‘Third World’.
The organizers had arranged a full accompanying program. We watched a movie on this topic, saw an exhibition of works by contemporary artists and took part in an interesting workshop.
The exhibition and the movie impressed us a lot and we learned lots of new things. From now on, we are going to pay attention to the origin of our clothes and the working conditions of the manufacturers. We think that the issues addressed there are up-to-date with regard to the future of humankind and the environment.
The exhibition and the accompanying program were drafted in collaboration with the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden.
